not the same as an ‘idea’ for an E-Commerce business.

There are tens of millions of E-Commerce businesses on the web – many managed by very competent business professionals. They make money. Some make a lot of money.

There are a gazillion ideas for E-Commerce businesses – most of which never reach the development level of actual bandwidth. The problem for most of the non-starters: inexperienced managers – lack of affordable access to web professionals – shortage of investment capital – a need to keep eating during the design and development process.

The Internet has many of tales of folks who hit the ‘big one’ with a web site – got the ‘brass ring’ - and millions of dollars through an acquisition – the next “U-Whatever”. Those ‘visions’ of success are what drives the dreamers. But the reality is: most of those ‘big ones’ are often done by teams of serious professionals – with serious funding – and a very good idea of who the buyer of the company could be when it’s finished and operational.

If you have a developed concept for an E-commerce company selling in a very narrow niche – and are emotionally capable of working with investors and management teams – you may wish to consider alternatives to ‘doing it ALL - and financing it ALL - yourself’.
